ECAS 2017, 29 June-1 July, Basel
**Deadline 19 January 2017**
Proposals are encouraged for papers as part of the conference panel on ‘The changing face of electoral manipulation in Africa’, organised by Justin Willis (in association with Nic Cheeseman and Gabrielle Lynch), for the 2017 ECAS conference in Basel, Switzerland. This panel investigates the changing face of electoral malpractice and considers the drivers of electoral manipulation. It asks how election rigging is changing over time and in response to new technologies, and whether citizens resist such strategies or, in some cases, demand them.
